Camella Homes, owned by Manny Villar and managed by his daughter, has the worst service. They don’t act on the complaints of the home owners, which are 90% OFWs, who paid millions of pesos for a 40 sq.m. house.
The complaints were never acted on. In fact, they do not even act on the fact that part of their contract states that the house will be built within 6 months and unfortunately, other houses were built for almost a year. OFWs who already believed that when they get back here they already have a house to stay, went somewhere else because, there is no house yet!!!
Bago siya magpa-uwi ng OFWs, ayusin niya muna ang problema ng mga OFWs na kumuha ng bahay at lupa sa kanyang subdivisions.
Huwag magpaloko!

sir dens, it would be nice if we publish the complaint letter and the response of the management to give more credence to the claim.

I also had my share of frustrations with camella. I entered into a sales contract with last them Dec. 6, 2007 to give my 2 mos. old baby boy a better place to live. I have already paid 80% of the total contract price since August 2008 and up until now, my house is under construction. My baby is turning 2 this October and he still lives in a bulilit house. Several times i have met with people in Camella but all i get back are false promises and commitment dates.
To all other OFW and interested buyers, Camella has the worst customer service ever. All they are after is your money. That’s it. So think twice, think 100 x before giving away your hard earned money to them.

Beware also for false measurement. Based on my own experience, you cannot trust camella’s contractors to build the right space according to plan. My garage was rebuilt after I measured it myself and found out that it is smaller than what is written in the plan. I could just imagine the units sold to OFW’s that is only supervised by the housewives. They could simply just cover up for all safety and design rule deviations without the unit owner knowing

I’m also a victim of how poor Camella is in dealing with the needs of their clients. I was just wondering on how they were able to maintain their image despite the fact that there have been many complaints against them. I only wished we have known how they were before we bought a house.

Our recently-purchased unit in Sienna Villas, Caloocan City is a mess… looks like constructed from rejected materials. I will be posting the pictures in the internet soon and I will publish the links to messages boards and blogs. Election is coming so I hope, we (OFWs and netizens) can use that to put pressure on Villar family. If Manny Villar cannot even deliver a good product and service to his clientele, what more can we expect from him if will be running for a public office?

my husband and i are also going through the same situations as the rest of you are. we have purchased a property last june 2007 and shelled out almost 60% for the downpayment. based on the contract, the house construction would be finished in 6month time provided that at least 20% of the total contract price has been paid. unfortunately, our house was delivered almost a year later. we moved in oct 2008. but again, moved out last march 2009.
cracks were all over the house and the roof was leaking profusely, and it was a three month old brand new house. we moved out since the house became inhabitable because of the repair. not a part of the house wasnt repaired and to think that you paid millions for this cheaply constructed unit.
i really hope that all homeowners will gather and finally have some voice and put an end on this. the people in this company is messing up with our lives. they really provoke aggressiveness and siphon dry emotions of the people who mistakenly bought their properties.
it is scary to know if Villar gets to seat as the president. he might be able to monopolize everything. its about time that we do something and prevent this person from assuming the position.

my mother bought a house and lot in Teresa, rizal- Carissa Homes East 1 last 1999, paid under house financing, finished paying in 2005. The house was in complete mess when we moved in. Now, the big problem is , the title is not yet transferred to my mother’s name. Since then, they keep on promising that the title is under reconstruction. But how long will it take to do the reconstruction?

We purchased a unit at Lessandra Cavite.
Numerous advise to them was given that we’ll be moving on a given date.
It was a nightmare when we arrived with our belonging because the unit was a mess. Well have to wait under the rain for 3 hours waiting for the key to the unit. No electricity. No water. Sewage half done. Doors not fitting on the frame. The house was dirty and dusty. To think they were the one who gave the date when we can move in.
Currently, the community has no fence with outsiders going in and out freely. Cows and dogs are roaming and dumping their waste all around.
They had the worst customer service. Its almost impossible to call their office and their CS personnel don’t seem to their know work.

Hi, i came across this site..our house is under construction by camella now..we bought a 2.4M Carmela house model in Cerrittos trails..and i am really really worried about the things you said. How can I prevent this from happenning to us? is it better if we hire an engineer to look-out for the house while it’s under construction? gusto nga sana namin magtipid kaya kame bumili ng house, it will be devastating to my family if palpak ang bahay.

In June 1, 2009, I purchased a home in Sorrento through Camella Properties, (a.k.a. Crown Communities, Pampanga, Philippines. I paid P2,400,200 cash upfront for the Elaisa model blocl 20, lot 4.
I visited my new home several times, with my Philippine fiance, from June through October., and watched as my house was being built. Camella Properties Business Director, Mr.Joseph Mahusay upon my request, walked the property boundaries in my presence.
In mid September, I learned that the house I had been monitoring was not actually my house. Something had gone very wrong. It sounded very fishy. I asked the help of Brygy. Capt. Rafael Yabut and Gerry Santos to be present at a meeting with the general manager of Camella Homes Pampanga. Much thanks to those brgy. Capt. by the way…
At a meeting on 9/23/09 at the company’s satelite office in Mc. Arthur highway San Fernando, we were officially informed by Ms. Ma. Graciela Lopena and Mr. Joseph Mahusay that they personally made a ”mistake on the lot number.” Through a supposed error on the part of Camella, “my lot is apparently somewhere else.” They claimed they just recently discovered the error. Really!! Hard to believe that professionals don’t know their own business and they would make a egregious mistake like that. As a businessman, this sounds like pure fiction. Doesn’t add up. If you believe taht, you believe anything.
Imagine my dismay., when I learned this. I believe that Camella flat out lied to me. The tactic they used seems like a classic “bait and switch,” strategy. They “bait” you with the promise of a nice location, then later they “switch” you later (like four months later) to another location. There is a more expensive house 20% constructed on the new site. It’s a different style than the one on our original property Somebody obviously backed out and they are trying to push this property on me. That’s my conclusion. Bottom line – no honesty, no ethics, no decency, just lies, deception, wasted time, and total lack of caring.
In effect, Camella has unilaterally invalidated the contract, and are now holding my money illegally. I have retained the services of an attorney to get my money back. Has anyone had a similar experience with this company? We would have loved to have given praise to Camella for a job well done, but unfortunately cannot. The message – caveat emptor! So I ask all y fellow ex-pats to be cautious with Camella and definitely with other companies. Particularly read the contract. They are 99% against you and some of the language even sounds illegal. It is that bad.
I have read all your comments here. Let’s start a Camella Complaints User Group to pool ideas and take action. I have started a law suit against them. I can leverage our voice as my former job in USA was media relations ans public relations expert. I have already utilized 14 expat web sites to place infomration and am being interviewed on the topic for Philippine television –peadar333@comcast. net. Let’s go guys!!

The research I have done and the people I have talked to suggest that Camella are thieves and just want your money. This bears up with my own experience. Read what people are saying on this site.

my advice to you guys, wag nyo nang alamin kung papano ginawa, the moment na makalipat kayo ipa inspect nyo lahat sa mga engr. and make the proper modifications.

Thanks.

thats easy for you to say, kami mag 2 years nang nag hihintay and we have invested an ample amount of time energy and emotion over this. Ang hirap kaya na makita mong yung bahay na pinag hirapan nyo eh isang bagyo lang tanggal lahat ng bubong at ito pa swerte na at hindi pa kami nakakalipat sa ngayon. Now we will take legal actions regarding this becasue its the only way to get their attention.

Me and my girlfriend are also suffering from camella’s/carissa’s negligence in doing their end of the bargain. we bought a property as early as last year but until now the house is not finished we have been going back and forth to their office to follow up and ask for updates and we visit the unit itself just to find out that after a year and a half, the house it still not finished. Also I advise everyone planning to buy a property from camella Do not transact with the contractor who is building your house. Contractors? Yes Camella does not build the houses they hire independent small time contractor to build the houses and they just get an architect to inspect the output, Just imagine the quality of the houses they are building. We got into an agreement with the contractor to add some improvement into the interior and fence at the back. But after a while we found out that the contractor was fired by carissa and did not finish the agreed improvments. After all of these problems that villars housing companies are giving, we are now thingking if we still want the house.
